When using Verzion for your cellular service their contract says the phone has to be compatible with their network. Even though it says this, it also says it doesn’t matter if you buy the phone from them or someone else. However they won’t be generous if you have to modify that phone. They also say they can change the software, programming or applications remotely with out even notice. That seems a bit unfair to me.

I recently had Sprint service. I just wasn’t happy with them. I was paying outrageous amounts for my plan and I never went over my minutes. Plus nothing worked when I needed to and my text messaging would barely work.

So one day I was driving home from work and I heard a commercial on the radio talking about new plans from Verizon. I went and checked out a store and I feel in love with the Samsung SCH-u740 Black. When I got the phone it just came out like a week prior. It has a multi flip to it. If I flip it one way it is a speaker phone and has a full on keyboard. I flip it the other way I can talk on the phone like a normal flip phone. Most phones with full keyboards, that isn’t a feature. It also has a built in MP3 player and on the front of the phone the player is touch screen. How cool is that? It’s not bulky either. It is almost as small as those Razor phones.

Verizon Wireless keeps upgrading their products. Recently they have upgraded their chocolate phone and there env phone. The chocolate is now faster then before and can also hold more memory. While the other phone is a lot slimmer and smaller, both in length and in width. It also comes in various colors where before it only came in one.

Text Messaging, also called SMS (Short Message Service) - allows short text messages to be sent and received on a mobile phone. Messages can be sent from one phone to another by addressing the message to the recipients # number. Messages can also usually be sent to a phone via a special email address, through the carrier’s web site, or with special messaging software.
Most phones and carriers also allow messages to be sent from a phone directly to an e-mail address.

The list of the top ten cell phones is compiled with a list of the best “standard” cell phones. However they can quickly change due to the change of pricing and technology. T-mobile has the 10^th, 7^th, 3^rd, and 1^st ranked phones. The are the T-Mobile SDA, Nokia 5300Xpress music, Motorola RIZR Z3, and the RIM Blackberry Pearl. Verizon only has a few which are the LG EnV which is only in 8^th place, the Samsung SCH-u740 holding strong in 4^th place. Sprint isn’t doing so hot. They only have one phone on the list and it is in 9^th place and Nextel has none. The rest of the phones are by Cingular which is now AT&T they have 2^nd,5^th, 6^th place.

In the past cell phones could only be at cell phone stores, or those communication stores. They were all over the place though, but typically close to malls. Now people can buy them anywhere. I know Verizon phones can be purchased inside Target stores and Wal-Mart stores. At Radio Shack they offer several cell phone provides and plans. All different places can also be priced differently. One might also be able to offer a better deal as well. Make sure to shop around before getting locked in.

Well most are probably not. But this phone from Verizon is one of the coolest phones I have seen since the Sidekick by T-mobile. The camera’s quality is better than some lower end digital cameras. It’s got a built in keyboard. It’s a bit thick but it not so wide. It has V CAST on it, it makes it easy to download ring tones, and music to your phone with in seconds. It also is a sweet bluetooth phone. I think this is my new favorite from this company.
